Creator pricing in India is all over the place. We have seen creators with 200K followers charge ₹5,000 per post. We have also seen creators with 80K followers hold out for ₹80,000 — and get it. The difference is almost never just about follower count. It's about how you position your value, what niche you're in, and whether you have professional talent management support negotiating on your behalf.
Benchmark rates by tier (India, 2025)
These are realistic market rates based on deals our team has negotiated. These are ranges — your rate within this range depends on your niche, engagement rate, content quality, and the brand's budget.
- Nano (1K–10K followers): ₹2,000–₹8,000 per post. Gifting-only deals are common but always negotiate at least a nominal fee.
- Micro (10K–100K followers): ₹8,000–₹50,000 per post. Instagram Reels command a premium over static posts.
- Macro (100K–500K followers): ₹50,000–₹2,00,000 per post. YouTube integrations often pay more than Instagram at this tier.
- Large macro (500K–1M followers): ₹1,50,000–₹5,00,000 per post.
- Mega (1M+ followers): ₹3,00,000 and above. Celebrity rates vary significantly by category and current relevance.
Niche multipliers
Finance, legal, and health/wellness creators often command 30–50% above standard rates because the audience trust required to influence in these categories is harder to build. Fashion and lifestyle creators work in a more saturated market, so rates are often at or slightly below benchmark.
What to always negotiate
Beyond the per-post rate, always negotiate usage rights fees (separate from the base rate), exclusivity compensation, and a revision cap. These three items alone can double the value of a contract without changing the headline number.
